| what could iadd after you have read the title of the disc and the name that they use? i could even guess that sarah and lloyd, the members of schmoof, are madly in love with all things pink and everything made of leather and pvc. maybe it would be appropriate to remind you of the phrase of a certain noel coward, that states, "extraordinary how potent cheap music is." as you could just about create from the quote from their long biography, schmoof are all about having fun and they just want you to join in. of course i can supply you with some help by listing some of their song titles: "disco dancing" (not a declaration of intent to do this), "chocolate boyfriend", "cocktails", "falling out of fashion" or "popstar". even so, we are in an epic full revival of 80's records. synth pop sounds for adolescents (vaguely electro lounge) and witnessing intentional frivolousness (but they make you aware of this, by differentiating between what they think and what they write) and all of this condensed into just over half an hour and with disarming spontaneity. would you allow me to define them as delicious? |
